Hire me to fly your airplane
Here are my approximate flight times as of March 2010:
Note that the times are approximate, since they change on a daily basis. I only update them here every few months, but if you would like to have more current information, please feel free to contact me. Where am I now?I flying both the CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 with PSA, a USAirways Express carrier.
What have I flown?
I have experience in both the ATR-42 and -72. The -72 has a MGTOW of around 47000 lbs, compared to the -42's 37000.

I also flew the F-27 with Mountain Air Cargo. MAC is a FedEx feeder operating in the Eastern US, South America, and a few places in between. MAC operated the F-27 under part 121 of 14 CFR, which is the same part of the rules that applies to airlines. My training involved a PIC type rating, and flying the classic turboprop gave me experience with "vintage" engines and systems. The F-27 has a MGTOW of 45000 pounds. In addition to my Part 121 experience, I also have specific experience in the following areas:Part 141 Flight InstructionPart 61 Flight Instruction Initial Flight Instructor Instruction Delivery/Ferry Operations Remote Sensing and Aerial Mapping Aerial Photography Post Maintenance Test Flights Pilot-legal Preventative Maintenance (per rules- tire changes, etc) Homebuilt Aircraft Construction (Bearhawk and more) I have specific experience in the following Multi-engine Aircraft: Bombardier CRJ-200 and CRJ-700 (CL-65), ATR-42, ATR-72, Fokker F-27, PA-30 Twin Comanche, PA-44 Seminole, and the BE9L (King Air F-90, C-90). My PIC type ratings include the Fokker F-27 and CL-65 (CRJ). I have also been through two of the FAA/USAF flight physiology classes, including a ride in an altitude pressure chamber. The majority of my flight time is in aircraft with glass cockpits, so I have extensive experience with EFIS. Did I mention that I also have a US passport and FCC Restricted Radiotelephone Operator's Permit? I have specific experience in Puerto Rico, the Dominican Republic, Argentina, and Brazil. I'm learning spanish, but I wouldn't say I know enough to get by yet. Of course I have endorsements for tailwheel airplanes, high performance airplanes, complex airplanes, and pressurized airplanes. It goes without saying, but I'll say it anyway; I have no violations, and I've never failed an FAA checkride, drug test, or anything like that. Back in college I was a competitor and organizer with NIFA, and have several regional and national awards. I also participate with NIFA currently as a Judge. Based on my maintenance and homebuilding experience, I have a true appreciation for the mechanical operation of airplanes. Sometimes it is easy for pilots to forget that airplanes are built for light weight and high performance, not durability and heavy-handed treatment. My Master of Commercial Aviation degree is another plus, especially when it comes to understanding the complexities of the aviation industry. Likewise, my Bachelor of Commercial Aviation degree shows that I have experience and knowledge beyond the FAA check ride standards. There are pilots with just certificates and ratings, and there are pilots with much more knowledge and skill. I encourage you to explore the differences- hire me and you'll be impressed. What Can I do?With proper prior arrangements, I can fly an airplane that you already own (with the concurrence of your insurance company), I can teach you to fly, I can transport airplanes for you, and many other jobs.Unfortunately, I cannot fly you from point A to point B in an airplane that I own, find, or have direct control over, since an operation like that is too much like an airline. For the sake of the general public, the FAA requires that only certificated air carriers can do that type of work. Aren't you glad though?
