A day at workHere are some pictures from work.Enough of the easy work in the pretty make-believe land above the clouds! It's time to land in Charlotte. Check out the line waiting for takeoff- it gets much longer at times. After pushback, we taxi past lots of other airplanes. You can see the USAirways colors everywhere, but don't miss the AN-124, the Express.net Airbus, and the other cargo planes. "Ladies and Gentlemen; from the flight deck, we're next for takeoff. Would the flight attendant please prepare for departure." After an overnight stay in Columbia, SC, it's off to Washington Regan National Airport. Geez, what a long name. Things at DCA are hectic, and there usually isn't much time for pictures. Luckilly we were early and things were slow. With that busy departure out of the way, it's time to enjoy more clouds. Before you know it, it's back to DCA. Dejavu all over again. Peanuts are a welcome break from Spinzels, the butter-flavored pretzel breakfast-lunch-and-dinner of champions. The view is better for airborne shots at DCA than most places. The last picture is finally back in Knoxville, where the sky is blue and the calendar is open. |
